In this paper we discuss how as the live coding duo aa-cell we have responded to these challenges, and what this experience has revealed about the computational representation of music and approaches to interactive computer music performance. In particular we have identified several effective an...
متن کاملThe Threnoscope A Musical Work for Live Coding Performance
This paper introduces a new direction in the field of artistic live coding where musical works are presented as pieces in the form of a live coding system. The system itself and the code affordances become equivalent to score system in an open musical work for strong improvisation.
متن کاملGibberwocky: new live-coding instruments for musical performance
We describe two new versions of the gibberwocky live-coding system. One integrates with Max/MSP while the second targets MIDI output and runs entirely in the browser. We discuss commonalities and differences between the three environments, and how they fit into the live-coding landscape. We also describe lessons learned while performing with the original version of gibberwocky, both from our pe...
